Mrs. Philomina, gave a awareness on Women Empowerment of Social Protection, killing of girl child, women’s equal rights, protection of Women’s and girls, early marriage of girl child, domestic violence by men. Women's Day Seminar on Social Protection held at St. Mary’s Parish, Melaputhur, Trichirapalli on 3rd March 2019. Mr. A. Selvam, President, CWM Trichy Diocese welcomed the participants. Rev. Fr. CWM - Sivagangai Diocese conducted the International Women's Day Celebration on "Women are Social Address" at Rasa SingaMangalam on 8th March 2019. Chief Guest Lighted the lamp. Mrs. I. Roselin Jeeeva, Field Organizer, CWM India and around 300 women are participated. Rev. Fr. Joseph Lourdu Raja, Vicar General of Sivagangai Diocese delivered a special inspirational talk on “Pengale Samugathin Mugavari”. Rev. Fr. A. Arockiasamy, Director, Pastoral Center, gave the points of Women Rights. Mr. S. Pathinathan, President, CWM Sivagangai diocese gave the vote of thanks.
The CWM Jabalpur diocese celebrated International Day on 10th March 2019. The function was attended by women of different parishes. Dr. Rekha James, a reputed lady doctor of the Christian community was the chief guest on the occasion. She spoke with references from the Bible and exhorted the women to be strong in their faith and carry out their duties and responsibilities according to the will of God. The Parish Priest Fr. James D'Souza also spoke about the role of women in the family and society, her commitment towards both and the respect she should be given.
The women were given an opportunity to display their talent through song, dance and skit. A game was played and the winners were awarded prizes. Ms. Teresa Rodrigues, Secretary CWM proposed the vote of thanks.
The Function was organized by Rev. Sr. Valarmathi Director, National Domestic Workers Movement and Christian Movement. Mr. John Arockiraj, Director, Caridas India commenced the Rally. In the Rally more than 25 Workers Women Members and unit Office bearers of MADIPAKKAM, NANMANGALAM, PALAVAKKAM and SOLOINGA NALLUR CWM Units with 500 Women belonging to Perumbakkam. Especially women Teachers, Students participated and raised the slogans of Women’s Rights, Women Education, Awareness of women gender harassment. Finally have a meeting in the Perumbakkam School premises. On behalf of CWM former National President Mr. M. Rajamani, Chengleput Diocese President Mr. S.SELVARAJ and Diocese Secretary Mr. A.S. DAS are lead the Program.
In the Rally 25 Women Members along with Office bearers of CHENGLEPUT, TAMBARAM, PALLAVARM, AND RAJAJI NAGAR Units with women Teachers and students belonging to Padappai Navaloor Village are participated.
